On February 5, 1958, an Air Force B-47 Stratojet was cruising as 38,000 feet over southeastern Georga at 500 miles per hour. In its bomb bay was a Mark 15 thermonuclear bomb many times more powerful than the bomb that destroyed Hiroshima. At 12:33 am, in a bright moonlit sky, hisotry was about to be made when an accident with an F-86 required the pilot of the bomber to jettison the bomb into the waters of Wassau Sound, located only 16 miles from Savannah, Georgia. Despite a massive search, the missing bomb has never been found. Fifty years later, a small US Navy crew on a coastal trawler is given the mission to look for it. This is the story of that crew and its mission.

"Retired U.S. Army colonel Harry Rubin centers his third
and latest novel on the infamous nuclear bomb dropped into Wassau Sound
in 1958. Set in present day, Rubin's book tells the story of a small U.S.
Navy crew whose mission is to find and recover the weapon."
I finished reading The Missing Bomb and think it is brilliant. I believe that as you write a new book, each story gets more in depth. Thank you for a good read.

"I just finished your new book,The Missing Bomb, and it is truly first rate. It, not only is the best of your three novels, but one of the best I've read. You have really become a first class author/novelist. It is by far your best written, with short concise sentences, and with meaning and clarity. I could not be more impressed. I look forward to your next work."

"After a distinguished military career serving our nation for 33 years,
Colonel Rubin has turned to writing with which he took a small U.S. Navy
Crew into secret harms way masterly presented in three novels. His attention
to detail brings the story line directly into the mind of the reader making
him or her feel as part of the entire mission. The description of a military
funeral and interment at Arlington National
Cemetery brought tears to this reader. The Missing Bomb is a captivating
read."
